Jesuit Volunteer/AmeriCorps Member – Digital Outreach Coordinator Position
Position Title: Jesuit Volunteer/AmeriCorps Member Digital Outreach Coordinator Position
Engage in a meaningful year of service and community with JVC Northwest! For one year, Jesuit Volunteer (JV)/AmeriCorps members serve local organizations across the Pacific Northwest, helping them address a pressing community need that they’ve identified.
By living together in intentional community, JV/AmeriCorps members lean on each other for personal growth in the four core values of community, simple living, social and ecological justice, and spirituality/reflection.
Here at MetroEast Community Media, we are looking to fill the role of Jesuit Volunteer/AmeriCorps Member Digital Outreach Coordinator with a JV/AmeriCorps member for the 2022-23 service year that begins in August. Do you want to make an impact in your community and get to make movies, take photos, and rock social media? We’ve got the position for you. The Digital Inclusion Outreach Coordinator will collaborate with local community stakeholders including nonprofits, government, schools, and churches to boost participation in MetroEast Digital Inclusion and Media Education programming. You will communicate directly with potential program participants, recruiting at tabling events, over phone and email. The Coordinator will teach and assist with Media and Basic Tech skills classes. They will create media–including films, photos, and social media posts, to document and advertise our programming for future participants and partners. We are actively seeking applicants with foreign language skills (conversational, advanced, or fluent).
All JV/AmeriCorps members will be provided with a living stipend, communal housing, health insurance, potential student loan forbearance, and a $6,495 AmeriCorps Education Award to be used towards future tuition or to pay back qualified student loans.
