You are officially invited to share your work at our first annual MetroEast Member Screening (virtual) event! Do you have a video you’ve been working on that you want to share with a larger audience? Do you have a rough cut that could use some feedback? Ever wondered what sort of conversation your work would facilitate? If you answered “yes” to any or all of the above questions, then this workshop is for you!
In this staff facilitated online screening, we’ll be using Zoom to host a screening and brief discussion of each member’s video. It’s common to hold back from showing your work to larger communities, but it’s also the best way to improve as a video maker. Through this event, we are carving out space for our members to support each other, provide constructive feedback, and share the work they’ve been creating and are so passionate about.
Each member gets around 5-10 minutes each to screen their video and receive feedback from MetroEast staff and the other participants.
Instructions for participation:
- Choose a video to share. We can only screen 4 minutes max (per person). If the running time of your video exceeds 4 minutes, include the timecode of the excerpt you’d like to share in the body of the email.
- Send a link of your video to firstname.lastname@example.org. If it’s a Vimeo link make sure it’s set to downloadable.
- Note: MetroEast will be downloading your videos using the link you provide us for the screening.
Tuesday, May 5th, 6:30PM – 8:30PM
We will host the online workshop via Zoom. When you have registered for the class, we will send you a link and password to the meeting. Please make sure your computer, tablet or phone meets Zoom Meeting requirements. Here is a video on how to use Zoom.
