Please welcome Marina Agüero, our new Executive Assistant, located at our front desk at MetroEast. Be sure to stop by and say hi!

Hi, my name is Marina and I grew up in SoCal, but have been in the Portland area for about 18 years now. All of my family is from Argentina & Chile. I love to travel, especially to new places, and I love any and all water activities. I also love music, dancing, laughing until I cry, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with my friends and my dog.

Who inspires you?
My friends inspire me the most on a day to day basis.  My close friend group includes people from all walks of life and in a variety of career fields.  They are all busy people with full lives, but they are constantly putting others before themselves and finding new ways to challenge themselves.  They inspire me to be a better person and to look for those small things that I can do to help people around me; but they also inspire me to push myself out of my own comfort zones in order to learn and grow.
What was the best concert you ever attended?
Any show by my two favorite artists: Kaskade or Above & Beyond.  Both of these artists bring together people from all walks of life through their positive and inspiring music and lyrics, and I have met some of my closest friends while attending their shows.
If you could be any animal, which would you be and why?
A sloth or a koala – because they are so cute and they love to nap :)
What’s the last book you read?
Book 1 of the Nexus Trilogy
What are you passionate about?
Music & Dogs!  I love any and all dogs and want to rescue them all.
What’s your favorite movie?
Mean Girls & The Little Mermaid
What are you currently watching on Netflix?
I just finished watching Narcos, but haven’t started a new series.  I am currently working on a list of all the Marvel movies and just watched Iron Man 2.
What’s the best meal you’ve ever had?
Paella & empanadas made by my Grandmother
If you could visit any place in the world you’ve never been, where would you go?
The Maldives & I would stay in a hut over the water
What is your favorite family tradition?                                                                                                            Playing Monopoly with my family on Christmas
