Black Lives Matter Video Symposium

Whence all this passion towards conformity anyway? Diversity is the word. Let man keep his many parts and you will have no tyrant states. Why, if they follow this conformity business, they’ll end up by forcing me, an invisible man, to become white, which is not a color but the lack of one. Must I strive towards colorlessness? But seriously and without snobbery, think of what the world would lose if that should happen. America is woven of many strands. I would recognize them and let it so remain.” ― Ralph Ellison, Invisible Man

The heart of MetroEast’s mission is to inspire diverse voices. We do this by transforming our members into media creators. We exist to empower our community. In the time of COVID and the wake of the murdering of George Floyd, we wish to empower our members to share their thoughts, opinions, triumphs and sorrows in this tumultuous time. Now is the time to leverage our skills and our reach, to exercise our 1st Amendment rights and push our country to honor, protect and elevate all the many strands that make it diverse. The Black Lives Matter Symposium will be cohosted by MetroEast and Open Signal.
