How to produce a show at MetroEast
The first step is to take a free orientation workshop. This is required before you can attend other MetroEast workshops. If you wish to use MetroEast's facility and equipment, you need to become a member. You can do so by completing an Activity Registration Form and paying a $50 annual activity fee. It is wise to do this before you take a class, because active members receive one free class.

When you have an idea for a program, have become a member, and are ready to check out equipment, you’ll need to complete a producer information form and obtain a program number from the Equipment Room.
If you want to check out cameras to get footage outside the MetroEast facility, you’ll need to take a field camera workshop. Active members can borrow up to five tapes at a time to use for video production. We also sell new and used videotapes for producers to keep.
If you want to produce a show using MetroEast's studio, you’ll need to take the studio orientation workshop.
Once you have your footage, you will need to do post-production work to complete your program. Take a non-linear editing workshop next.
Once you have finished your program and it is ready to be aired, complete a cablecast request form and submit it to the Playback department with your video. Playback is open from 2 to 10 pm, Monday & Tuesday, and noon to 10 pm Wednesday through Sunday. You can reach Playback by phone at 503-667-8848, ext. 333.
