MetroEast Welcomes Independent Filmmakers!

Are you a local filmmaker? Do you need access to 4K cameras, mics and lights? MetroEast Community Media might be able to help you acheive your goal.

Share your work on television with Portland, Gresham, Vancouver and the greater Tri-County area. MetroEast runs 8 ultra-local tv channels on cable. We broacast in full HDTV. We want to show your work.

MetroEast's new FastTrack program is for skilled filmmakers. FastTrack allows artists in our community to check out full GH-4 4K shooting packages. This brand new, professional gear is  available to filmmakers who can demonstrate proficiency on a skills test. If you can pass the FastTrack test, then no public access classes required. For more information, contact Jennifer Dynes at jennifer@metroeast.org.

All work created on MetroEast gear remains your intellectual property. You can screen at festivals according to their requirements and schedules before putting the films on our channels, where they will continue to enhance our local culture and community.

MetroEast is a non-profit organization with a 30 year history in PDX of keeping television local and accessible to all. The wise people who began cable access television in the 1960's and 70's, were themselves independent filmmakers.

Share your work with Portland on our cable channels! We welcome submissions of older work too, even if it's in SD. Our local cable channels reach into more than 375,00 households. It's a wonderful opportunity to have your films seen by a wider audience and to share your stories with those in our local community who might not otherwise get the chance to see them.
